Final Fantasy 14 has just revealed that the release date for Patch 6.45 is fast approaching. This new content update, which includes new quests, a criterion dungeon, and an expansion of the Blue Mage job, goes live in Final Fantasy 14 on July 18th.

In May, Final Fantasy 14 released Patch 6.4, The Dark Throne. This update introduced a plethora of new content to the game, including a continuation of the main story quest, the conclusion of the Pandaemonium raid, and an expansion of the Duty Support System through Stormblood.

Final Fantasy 14 is gearing up to release its next minor content update, Patch 6.45. This patch bridges the gap between 6.4 and 6.5 with a plethora of new activities, but one of the biggest changes is the expansion of the Blue Mage. The maximum level for this limited job is being raised to level 80 and will receive new quests, spells, and equipment to collect. Once the patch goes live, players will be updated in their Blue Mage logbook with new tasks and abilities from the Shadowbringers expansion.

This minor update to Final Fantasy 14 adds the Mount Rokkon, its second variant dungeon. This instance-based exploration will delve into the lore of Hingashi, the mysterious island on which Kugane is situated in Final Fantasy 14, alongside the representative of the East Aldenard Trading Company, Hancock. Similar to its predecessor, the Sil'dihn Underground Dungeon, Mount Rokkon will also have a Criterion Dungeon Savage mode for hardcore players to challenge and earn unique rewards.

Fans of the humorous quest series can look forward to the "Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures," a continuation of the misadventures of the eponymous gentleman detective. Additionally, players can unlock the next level of their Manderville relic weapons by forging the ultimate weapons alongside Godbert Manderville, owner of Final Fantasy 14's Gold Saucer and an expert in blacksmithing. Crafters and gatherers can also upgrade their glamour tools through the quest series with Mowen, Grenoldt, and his apprentice Chora-Zoi.

The first Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival is just around the corner. The convention will commence on July 28th - a little less than a week after the release of Patch 6.45 - and will run until July 29th. Players can anticipate an announcement for the next expansion as well as the first live letter from the producer for Patch 6.5 - the final major content update for Endwalker. Needless to say, fans of the critically acclaimed MMORPG have much to look forward to in the coming weeks.

Final Fantasy 14 is now available for PC, PS4, and PS5.
