PS Plus subscribers are already able to play the three titles that are available on their PS4 or PS5 in July 2023. The PS Plus games for July were announced a few days ago, surprising PlayStation owners with one of them being a part of the popular Call of Duty franchise, which is known for its strong multiplayer scene.

Gamers who use PS Plus were able to play three titles in June: NBA 2K23, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Trek To Yomi. These games offered a good mix of genres, ranging from sports to simulation to side-scrolling action.

Now, gamers who subscribe to PS Plus can download and play Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Cross-Gen Bundle, Alan Wake Remastered, and Endling: Extinction is Forever. The games of the month can be claimed by PS Plus subscribers of all tiers, including PS Plus Essential, and are part of Sony's monthly service offerings. Once claimed, these games are playable as long as the players have their subscriptions. All games can only be downloaded until July 31, so players should not wait too long to get them.

  • Alan Wake Remastered
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Cross-Gen Bundle
  • Endling: Extinction is Forever

The most noteworthy news among these three games is the remastered version of Alan Wake, which launches the start of Alan Wake 2, set to release on October 17, 2023. Unlike the first title, Alan Wake 2 will have two stories that focus on both Alan Wake, who appeared in the first game, and another protagonist named Saga Anderson, who works as an FBI agent. Subscribers can also download Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which was originally released in 2020 and was considered an average game of the franchise, with some issues at launch, but are now mostly resolved. Finally, there is also Endling: Extinction is Forever, a cute indie game where players explore a post-apocalyptic world as a fox and have strong ecological vibes.

Unfortunately, there is not only good news for PS Plus subscribers in July. Over the course of the month, 10 games will be removed from PS Plus and will no longer be available to Extra and Premium subscribers. The list includes some quite popular titles such as the remastered versions of the three BioShock games and Stray, as well as some others that were not as successful, such as Marvel's Avengers, which received fair criticism upon release.
